ASL-Fluent Behavioral Health Paraeducator – AZ

Ro Health is hiring passionate, ASL-Fluent Behavioral Health Paraeducators to join our Arizona Behavioral Team for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year. What You’ll Do:

• Provide classroom, small-group, or 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with or without IEPs, utilizing American Sign Language (ASL) to ensure clear communication.
• Assist with instructional activities, behavior redirection, and social-emotional development for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or non-verbal students.
• Support students with special education needs under the guidance of certified teachers and DHH specialists.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively in both English and ASL with teachers, school staff, interpreters, and agency supervisors.

What You’ll Need:

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required (ability to communicate fluidly with students and educational staff).
• Associate’s Degree or 60+ cumulative college-level credits (or passing score on the ParaPro Assessment).
• Experience working with children, ideally within DHH programs, special education classrooms, or camp/care settings (preferred).
• Experience with behavior management (minimum of 6 months required).
• Ability to pass state/federal background checks and obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented.
