Behavior Technician – Public Schools

Join the Ro Health team as a Behavior Technician, where you'll play a vital role in supporting children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. This energetic position involves implementing behavioral therapy strategies, assisting with daily living activities, and helping clients develop essential skills to thrive. This position will start in August and continue for the 2026-27 school year.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, fostering independence and confidence
• Collect accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions to inform treatment adjustments
• Support clients during educational activities, including teaching social skills, communication, and adaptive behaviors within a special education framework
• Maintain detailed medical documentation and care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and proper recordkeeping
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to modify strategies based on data collection and client needs
• Provide patient care with patience, empathy, and professionalism while ensuring a safe environment for clients with behavioral health needs

Experience

• Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA), is advantageous
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare documentation practices is a plus
• Strong communication skills for working effectively with clients, educators, and other healthcare professionals
• Ability to follow detailed care plans and behavioral management strategies accurately
• Experience in teaching or special education settings can enhance your effectiveness in this role

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Applied behavior analysis: 1 year (Required)
• Special education: 1 year (Preferred)
