Behavior Technician – Public Schools

Ro Health Paraprofessionals and Behavior Technicians are vital in supporting teachers and enhancing the educational experience for students with learning disabilities. This position involves working closely with students in a classroom setting, assisting with instructional activities, and providing individualized support to meet the diverse needs of learners.

Ro Health is hiring staff in the Morgan Hill, Gilory, Holllister, and South San Jose areas. This job is expected to begin this month and continue through the current school year. This role can also continue for support over the Summer and the 2026-27 School Year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others with a strong emphasis on attendance and communication.

Duties

• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
• Support students with their academic tasks, ensuring they understand the material.
• Help manage classroom behavior and maintain an orderly environment conducive to learning.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and adapt curriculum materials tailored to individual student needs.
• Provide one-on-one or small group instruction in subjects such as literacy education.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding student performance.
• Engage in early childhood education practices to promote developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

Skills

• Strong background in early childhood education or childcare settings.
• Experience working with students in a classroom environment, preferably within a private school context.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques to effectively support student engagement.
• Ability to educate and inspire children through creative teaching methods.
• Familiarity with curriculum development processes that enhance learning outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students and staff.
• A nurturing attitude towards children, demonstrating patience and understanding of their unique needs.
