RN Pediatric School Nurse I Paid Training

Position Details

Location: San Fernando Valley, CA and surrounding areas (travel flexibility required)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (varies by assignment)

Pay: $38–$44/hour

Employment Type: Full-Time, In-Person

Start Date: August 2026

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to students with chronic health conditions, including asthma and diabetes
• Monitor and maintain immunization compliance records
• Deliver first aid and emergency medical care as needed
• Assist with emergency preparedness plans and drills
• Maintain accurate and confidential health documentation
• Collaborate with families, school staff, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
• Ability to bend, crouch, and lift up to 40 pounds

Qualifications

• Active California RN License
• Current BLS Certification
• First Aid Certification
• Current negative TB test
• Reliable transportation
• Trach and vent experience required
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required
