School Nurse

School Nurse (RN/LPN) – 1:1 Student Care

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Pay:

• Registered Nurse (RN): $35–$42/hour
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): $30–$35/hour
• Pay is based on experience.

Position Overview

We're seeking compassionate and dependable Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care for medically complex students in a school setting. This position involves supporting a students healthcare needs while ensuring their health, safety, and success throughout the school day.

Responsibilities

Support students with conditions such as:

• Seizure disorders (Diastat administration)
• Tracheostomy care
• G-tube feedings
• Type 1 diabetes management (insulin injections, pump support)
• Administer medications and follow structured care plans
• Ensure a safe, healthy environment within the school setting
• Collaborate with school staff, caregivers, and the clinical support team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN or LPN license required
• Experience with catheterization preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Pediatric, school nursing, home health, or private duty nursing experience is a plus
• Compassionate, reliable, and committed to providing exceptional patient care
