License Practical Nurse – School Health

Pay: $37–$41/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift | No Nights, Weekends, or Holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students during the school day.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and individualized healthcare plans.
• Monitor and care for students with chronic and complex medical conditions.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to promote student health and safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with school health policies.

Clinical Skills

Qualified candidates should be comfortable providing:

• Seizure management, including Diastat administration
• Tracheostomy care
• G-tube feedings
• Type 1 diabetes management, including insulin administration and insulin pump support
• Medication administration and ongoing health monitoring

Paid clinical training is provided for nurses who are eager to expand their skills in the school setting.

Qualifications

Required

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with school personnel

Preferred

• At least one (1) year of nursing experience
• Pediatric nursing experience
• Experience caring for patients with tracheostomies, G-tubes, seizure disorders, and/or diabetes management
